Elena Baevsky /Lozinsky/ (1953) Elena translates poetry, prose and non-fiction from English, French,
and German. Her dozens of her verse translations poems by Louis Aragon
and Andrè Breton, as well as Eamon Grennan’s verse. She has
also published translation of Samuel Beckett’s French prose, letters of
E. Delacroix, Ionesco’s novel Le Solitaire, and Jean Cocteau’s play Le
bel indifférent. Elena is currently translating Proust’s Swann's
Way.
